UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB – www.uppbpb.gov.in), Lucknow notified recruitment for the posts of Constables (Male and Female). These UP Constable Recruitment 2015 – 2016 vacancies are categorized as 28916 posts for male candidates and 5800 for female candidates.
Government of Uttar Pradesh has invited applications for UP Constable Recruitment 2015 – 2016 due to shortage of Constables in Uttar Pradesh and intelligence reports inputs signifying a looming al-Qaeda and IS threat, the Uttar Pradesh.
The recruitment notification is given through the official website portal of Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board i.e., http://uppbpb.gov.in/ after the order passed by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
Online applications for UP Constable Recruitment 2015 – 2016 can be filled from 18 January 2016 to 22 February 2016 along with other necessary documents. Candidates will be recruited in the pay scale of Rs. Rs. 5200-20,200 Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-
Eligibility Criteria for UP Constable Recruitment 2015–2016:
Candidates who are class 12th passed from any recognized institution are eligible to fill-in the application form for the post. The minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit 22 years for General Category and 27 years for OBC, SC and ST category. Other than the educational qualification and age limit, candidates need to pass the physical test to complete the recruitment process.

Exam Pattern for UP Constable Recruitment 2015–2016:
As per the announcement made by UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, there would be no written examination for recruitment to the post of police constable. Therefore, candidates will be selected on the basis of physical test and the marks obtained by the applicants in class 10th and 12th.

Result of UP Constable Recruitment 2015–2016:
The list of the shortlisted candidates, who would meet the recruitment criteria for the post, would be notified via official website or other necessary sources. The shortlisted candidates would be then called for physical test.
