Eligible Criteria for UPSC Recruitment:
Educational Qualification:
• For Geologists: Master's degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology
• For Geophysicists: M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or M.Sc. (Geophysics)
• For Chemists: M.Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry
• For Junior Hydrgeologist: Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2016):

• For Geologist, Geophysicist and Chemist: 21 to 32 years
• For Jr. Hydrogeologist: 21 to 35 years

Age Relaxation:
• For OBC Candidates: 3 years
• For SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen Candidates: 5 years
• For PWD Candidates: 10 years

Application Fee:• General Category Candidates: Rs. 200
• SC/ST/PwD/Female Candidates: NILL

Selection Process: Selection of candidates will be based on written test followed by personal interview.
